Like punk rock, libraries are born from a desire for free thought and social rights. Public libraries share a deep connection with the punk ethos because they operate as free spaces that defy authority and reject censorship.

Help us celebrate the spirit of punk in our Library this Ontario Public Library Week!

Join us anytime between 11 – 3 to work on your family tree, share research strategies, and discover what resources are available for your research.

Volunteers from the Ontario Genealogical Society Nipissing Branch and the staff of the Callander Public Library will be here to answer questions and help you get the most from library resources.

Bring your laptop, tablet, or borrow a computer from the library.

All welcome!

The Callander Public Library resides on the traditional lands of the Nbissing Anishinaabeg (Nipissing First Nation), within lands protected by the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850. In the spirit of this Treaty, we acknowledge, in a good way, that we respect and value the cultures, histories and relationships with the original people of the land we share today.
