Toddler Tales in a Bag
Ages 0+
Themed kits for your toddler are available to borrow. Kits will include books on the chosen theme, educational activities, and all supplies required to ensure a quick and fun learning opportunity. Current themed include: I love Animals and Transportation.
STEAM in a Bag
Ages 5+
Themed kits involving Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math available to borrow. Kits will include books on the chosen theme, educational activities, and all supplies required to ensure a quick and fun learning opportunity. Current themed include: My body, Hockey, Architecture, and Dinosaurs.
Kids Media Critics
Ages 6-18
Have you ever watched a movie or read a book and couldn't wait to tell everyone what you thought? Well we are looking for kids to become Official Callander Public Library Media Critics! Watch some movies, read some books and tell us what you loved/hated about it! We cannot wait to hear your thoughts and to share them with the world!
Bookmark Contest
All Ages

Now is your chance to enter your original art in the third annual Callander Public Library bookmark contest! Simply create your own unique bookmark, winning bookmarks will be reproduced and available to the public at the Library! Contest is open to all ages!

A different theme each week involving Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math. We will explore a different theme each week through a craft or activity. Stay tuned to our Library's social media for each week's theme. This program runs Sept. to June, please contact the Library to register.
Raising Readers

Discover new stories, make new friends, play games, and create works of art! Caregivers must accompany children. Drop-ins welcome. This program runs Sept. to June.

Join us on Tuesday evenings (by appointment) for free, one-on-one homework help.
We have a registered teacher to help with JK-8 in any subject, and a bilingual educator to help with any french work.
Please register with the library for a time slot so we can ensure one-on-one help.
Toddler Tales

Forest of Reading
Ages 2+
January to April
The Forest of Reading Program is based on Canada's only book award chosen by the readers. Each year children read great Canadian books from a range of categories and vote for their favourite. Books are available in English and French for a variety of reading levels. The program runs from January to April.
