FAQ During Closure
The Callander Public Library remains closed to the public to support efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The library is currently offering curbside pick-up of library materials and is offering virtual programs only.
We are taking several steps to support you as much as possible during this temporary closure. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions we’ve received.
How can I return the items I have checked out?
You can now return items in the drop box at the library. Please follow physical distancing rules while doing so. There will be no fines for overdue items.
What if my items are due? Will I be charged late fees?
If you have books and other materials checked out right now, you will not be charged any fines during the closure of the library. Don’t worry about the due dates listed in your account. Fines will be removed as books are returned to the library.
Are there any library services I can use from home?
Curbside pickup is now available at the library. For information on curbside pickup services and to place an order for pickup, click here.
All of our online services (including eBooks and eAudiobooks) are still available and can be accessed from anywhere with internet access using your library card. You can find out more about them here.
What if my holds are ready for pickup?
If you have holds, staff will call you to book a curbside pick-up appointment when your holds are available.
Can I apply for a library card?
